Musical Director

Born in Sheffield, studied piano to grade eight, moved to Lincolnshire in 1964.

Studied singing under Arthur Robinson, Vera Burton, and Alec Redshaw.

Joined Grimsby Ladies Choir in 1972, was also a member of
Grimsby Philharmonic Society.

Won several singing festivals including the prestigious Robert Shaw festival.

Moved back to Yorkshire in 1984 and studied singing under Joan Edwards (principal Mezzo Soprano for Opera North).

Sang leading roles in Carmen, Don Giovanni, La Boheme, Marriage of Figaro and Cosi Fan Tutti for Airedale Opera.

Varied musical career singing also in oratorios, light opera and recitals.

Lived in Geneva for five years before returning to Lincolnshire in 2000,

Rejoined the Ladies Choir in 2002 and was Deputy Accompanist before taking over the choir as Musical Director in November 2007
